AGM 2011 Results

The 157th Annual General Meeting of the Society took place on Monday 5 December 2011. The AGM allowed members to vote and discuss various topics about the Society's financial year.

The official turnout was ratified by scrutinisers Howsons Electoral Services and saw an excellent turnout of 23.5%.

David Webster, Chief Executive of The Hanley commented

"Once again I am delighted to see such a good turnout of members at our 2011 AGM. Member engagement is extremely important to The Hanley and to be in the top 3 of Building Society turnouts in 2011 is a positive sign that The Hanley is doing extremely well in these challenging economic times."

All resolutions were carried including a special resolution which will allow the Society to use electronic communication in the future to members who wish to receive information from the Society in this manner. The special resolution will also allow the Society to take part in the Dormant accounts scheme.
