The Hanley Building Society welcomed six prize winners to their Head Office at Festival Park to receive awards for the 'Create a Plate' and ‘Ceramic Letter’ Competitions.

Two competitions were organised for local schools in Stoke-on-Trent. Primary school children were invited to design a Ceramics Festival Plate, whilst secondary school children were encouraged to write a letter about their family's most treasured piece of pottery. Sponsored by The Hanley over 700 entries were received in both competitions.

Rob Hassall, The Hanley’s Marketing Manager said, "It was extremely difficult to select winners when there were so many outstanding entries and the competition really set children's imaginations on fire. I’m pleased we could be involved in such a great event"
