David Webster, age 51, has been Chief Executive at The Hanley since April 2002 and has led the Society
through a period of unprecedented turbulence in our core markets.

David has helped formulate The Hanley’s successful strategy and has overseen the delivery of consistently outstanding business results over a sustained period, while at the same time strengthening the Society’s commitment to, and
investment in the local community. He is committed to The Hanley’s future as a local, mutual building
society.

In May 2010 David was elected Chairman of the Building Societies Association, the first Chief Executive
in our history to achieve this accolade.
