Dr Ann Henshaw, age 63, was appointed to the Board as a Non-Executive Director in February 2007 and is a member of the Remuneration Committee to which she has recently been appointed as its Chair.

Ann is the Senior Independent Director and the Society’s ‘champion’ of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF). Ann has a broad range of experience and skills that are vested in a long and successful career in business, Psychology and Alternative Dispute Resolution. She continues to work as a Family Mediator with the people, lawyers and Family Court systems of Stoke-on-Trent which allows her to contribute to mitigating the effects of family breakdown upon children’s wellbeing and development.

She has recently been appointed as a Panel Chair by the Ministry of Justice and plays a significant role in the appointment of the judiciary for England and Wales.
