John Wood, age 54, was appointed to the Board as a Non-Executive Director in April 2008 and is Chair of the Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee.

He retired in 2007 from Staffordshire Police as acting Assistant Chief Constable and brings a broad range of experience of working in a professional environment at a high level. In 2006 John was awarded theQueen’s Police Medal for distinguished service.

After training to offer a will writing service John has become a member of a number of business networksincluding the North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Amongst his activities John enjoysrunning and this year ran in the Potters ’Arf Marathon sponsored by The Hanley.
