Hanley Economic is one of the Best Companies to work for! (Again!)

Hanley Economic Building Society has been recognised as one of the Best Companies to work for in 2021.

Not only has the Society won a nationally recognised award but they have also gained 3 star accreditation, showing “world class” levels of engagement within the team for the 3rd year in a row.

The Society has worked to create a strong workplace wellbeing agenda, which has encouraged positive business performance. Mark Selby, CEO says –

Creating a good working environment is a challenge in itself, but the strong foundation built over the last few years has allowed the Society to keep staff engaged throughout 2020.

The leadership team has taken various steps to reimagine the approach to workplace engagement through the pandemic. They have assessed and actioned further ways to expand the support for mental health, introduced weekly Society-wide meeting to keep colleagues up to date and offer the chance to feedback, as well as trying to bring some fun to the Society with personalised Christmas hampers, Friday afternoon quizzes and more to create a workplace that feels supported, acknowledged and fun too.
