Standard Variable Rate (SVR) from 8.49% to 8.24%

As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining the Society’s long-term sustainability, we regularly review the interest rates we charge borrowers and pay to savers.

From 1 May 2025, the Society will be reduce its mortgage Standard Variable Rate (SVR) from 8.49% to 8.24%. Borrowers with a mortgage product linked to the SVR will see a corresponding reduction in their monthly payments from May 2025. In addition, our variable retail savings rates will decrease by an average of 0.25%, also effective from 1 May 2025.

A list of the new variable rates will be published on our website and in our branches prior to the 1 May 2025. Savers with variable rate accounts will be personally notified of the change 14 days prior to the 1 May 2025 by letter or email.

Borrowers with a mortgage linked to SVR will receive a letter detailing their revised monthly payment from May 2025.
