Supporting Financial Education for Young People
At Hanley Economic Building Society, we are thrilled to announce the relaunch of the Hanley at Home Fund, in partnership with the Community Foundation for Staffordshire and Shropshire. This initiative offers grants of up to £5,000 to local organisations, running from 1 April to 1 June 2025. Our goal is to support groups working with individuals at various stages of the housing journey, whether they are preparing to move into a home or managing to stay in their existing one.
Increased Funding for Greater Impact
For this next round of funding, the Hanley at Home Fund has just under £30,000 available, and the maximum grant amount has been increased to £5,000, allowing us to make an even greater impact in the community.

Volunteering Milestones
We are proud to announce that we have reached 126 days of volunteering, bringing us closer to our target of 170 days by the end of August 2025. Our colleagues have been actively volunteering with various organisations, including Staffordshire Sight Loss Association, Dougie Mac, Alice Charity, YMCA, Assist, and many others.
Alice Charity Pantry Support
In March, our colleagues collected food for the Alice Charity Pantry. We are also organising a significant food bank push during September in conjunction with Alice Charity.
Glasses Donation Initiative
Members can donate their old glasses at special boxes located at each of our branches. All donated glasses will be collected by Lions International, who will sort them and send them out to charities across the UK and abroad.
Upcoming Events and Initiatives
- We are organising a big food bank push during September in conjunction with Alice Charity.
- Members can continue to donate their old glasses at our branches for Lions International.
We are excited about these initiatives and look forward to continuing our community support efforts. Thank you to all our colleagues and members for their ongoing contributions and support.
